Proposal Engineer

With the agility of a start-up, our team of 135 professionals operates from The Hague Ypenburg (NL) and Lambourn (UK).

As a Proposal Engineer, you'll create technically and commercially viable proposals, support marketing and sales activities, and develop commercial offerings. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customers, gaining experience across technical and commercial disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proposal Development: Craft technical proposals aligning with customer and internal requirements.
• Project Involvement: Develop commercial and engineering solutions for ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with customer needs and our product roadmap.
• Customer Engagement: Support the Business Development Managers (BDMs) with customer visits, identify sales opportunities, and generate leads.
• Industrialisation Partnerships: Contribute billable input to partnership projects.
• Market Insights: Provide input for Product/Market/Technology discussions and sales strategy.
• Customer Outreach: Identify new customers, present Airborne Automation solutions, and explore Industrialization Partnership models where immediate automation sales are impossible.

You report to the Bid Office Manager and will work with colleagues from Sales and Business Development.

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong reporting and IT skills, especially in MS Office.
• Candidates must live within commuting distance of The Hague.
