What is your new job?

Our new Automation Engineer at Airborne Composites Automation (ACA) will help develop new and innovative automation solutions for the composite industry. We are looking for a person to reinforce and expand our capabilities in the area of control systems and software applications.


What are your responsibilities?

  • Designs, develops, and implements PLC control system (logic software and hardware) to meet project requirements 
  • Control and program industrial robots.
  • Understand requirements on user/communication interfaces and networking and create specifications based on these requirements. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests. 
  • Support that the developed automated solutions operate safely, robustly and reliably. 
  • Write clear documentation and work instructions.

You will have the opportunity to grow in this position and with more experience in the team, assume more tasks and responsibilities. You will be given room to take your own initiative and trial your own ideas.


Reporting Lines and Interactions

You will report to the Engineering Manager of ACA. You will work together with your colleagues in the business unit (Project Management, Mechanical, Automation, Process Engineering) and ACA’s partners.

Job requirements

Education

  • Minimum BSc degree, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering

Work experience

  • 2 years’ experience in industrial automation

Technical

  • Excellent understanding of, and strong interest in PLC programming
  • Affinity with industrial robots

Preferred

  • Experience with Siemens S7 / TIA portal
  • Experience with KUKA robot platforms
  • Knowledge of Functional safety
